My sessions are all about capturing a moment in time. So whether it be together in a stunning countryside location, or happily content in the comfort of your own home, I always take a very relaxed approach to my sessions. I will always guarantee lots of laughter and play time which will allow me to capture your true genuine family moments.
We can start off with a few games and activities, which will keep your children engaged and help bring out those natural smiles and connection.
Approach to Family Sessions
Although I try not to ‘pose’ you but rather ‘place’ you together and with no need to be looking at the camera, even the most camera-shy of people can relax and let the natural moments play out, safe in the knowledge that I’m there in the background, capturing it all.
Not only will you receive a gallery full of natural, authentic photographs to treasure as the years roll by, but you would have had a beautiful experience with your family that you will hold in your hearts long after the last frame is taken.

I try to shoot in most weather, but rain will usually stop play. If the forecast is not looking good we can make a call the day before and reschedule.

What happens if it rains on the day of our photoshoot?
Lighting is the number one most important element in creating great photos. You will see from my portfolio page that most of my sessions are shot in beautiful golden light. The best light is around an hour before sunset. So ideally, we will shoot in the evening. We can discuss the best time of year to shoot depending on the age of your children.

I always recommend bringing water and snacks, changing bag if needed, a change of clothes (just incase) and a warm layer.
